The Annual Meeting of American Broncho-esophagological Association will take place on April 27-May 1, 2011 at Sheraton Chicago Hotel & Towers, Chicago, Illinois. Submission of innovative and thought provoking abstracts is highly encouraged.

ABSTRACTS
All abstracts for consideration of a poster, oral presentation or the Presidential Citation for Foreign Body Management must be submitted to the program chair, Karen B Zur, MD via this website by October 17, 2010. No paper abstracts will be considered or accepted. The abstract must adequately describe the objectives of the study and presented in the following format:
- Title
- Purpose of the study (or report)
- Design and method of study and analysis
- Summary of results
- Conclusions
The abstract may not be more than 250 words in total (excluding the title). A table is acceptable if printed within the abstract form. Illustrations are not acceptable. Abbreviations may be used in the abstract and/or title if they are defined at first mention. The authors must accept sole responsibility for the statements in their abstracts.
MANUSCRIPTS
The authors, whose abstracts are accepted for oral presentation, including the Presidential Citation for Foreign Body Management are required to electronically submit manuscripts by April 1, 2011 to both of the following:

Failure to comply with this requirement will result in removal or the abstract for presentation at the meeting. This rule is strictly enforced.
The authors of accepted poster presentations accepted are highly encouraged to submit as indicated above.
AWARDS
Abstracts submitted for award consideration must be indicated in the check box area on the abstract form. Please follow the guidelines for submission stated above. Submitted abstracts are limited to consideration of one single award. Final competition for any award is considered only after abstract is accepted for inclusion in the scientific program. For award consideration the completed manuscript must be emailed to the physician contact for each respective award by February 14, 2011. The manuscript must be in the format prescribed by the Editor of the Annals of Otology, Rhinology and Laryngology. All award winners are expected to present their work and are responsible for their expenses for attending the meeting.
BROYLES-MALONEY AWARD
The Broyles-Maloney Award was established to encourage advancement of the art and science of broncho-esophagology and closely related subjects. The award is given for outstanding manuscripts, a thesis, or accomplishments in endoscopy, bronchology, esophagology, laryngology, and related science. A $1,500.00 prize is associated with the award. SEYMOUR R. COHEN AWARD FOR PEDIATRIC LARYNGOLOGY AND BRONCHO-ESOPHAGOLOGY
The Seymour R. Cohen Award for Pediatric Laryngology Broncho-Esophagology will be presented to any resident, fellow or practicing physician who submits the best original paper in either basic research or clinical investigation pertaining to pediatric laryngology and broncho-esophagology. All entries must be under 5,000 words, original, previously unpublished and not submitted elsewhere. A $1,000.00 prize is associated with the award.

STEVEN DEAN GRAY RESIDENT RESEARCH AWARD
The American Broncho-Esophagology Association offers an award of $750.00 for the best original paper on research in clinical broncho-esophagology, physiology or pathology of the larynx, tracheobronchial tree or esophagus written by a resident or fellow in training. A $500.00 award will be given for the second best paper. All entries must be under 5,000 words, original, previously unpublished and not submitted elsewhere.

ABEA PRESIDENTIAL CITATION FOR FOREIGN BODY MANAGEMENT
This award is given in recognition of excellence in innovation, skill and education in the management of aerodigestive foreign bodies. It is intended to encourage continued leadership in the art of endoscopic foreign body management. The format for submission is a case report limited to 600 words describing management of an endoscopic foreign. Authors must provide the operative report and appropriate photodocumentation.
