ABEA Abstract Submissions
Call for Abstracts for ABEA’s 100th Annual Meeting
Dear Members and Friends, we have the great privilege of assembling the program for the 100th (!!!!) annual meeting of our beloved ABEA. Abstracts will begin being accepted on August 9th - please join us and submit your work to share with the ABEA and greater COSM community, April 22-26, 2020 at the Hilton Atlanta in Atlanta, Georgia.
The ABEA will have three half-day sessions of podiums, panels and invited speakers. The Program Committee encourages submission of your scientific contributions for presentation at the meeting and publication in The Laryngoscope.
Submission types include Panel, Podium, or Poster Presentation. All presenters are responsible for their own registration fee and travel expenses.
1) Poster Award Winners will receive cash prizes (1st Place $500, 2nd Place $250 and 3rd Place $100)
2) Authors submitting for podium presentations are eligible for the following award considerations: Broyles Maloney Award, Ellen M. Friedman Foreign Body Management Award, Seymour R. Cohen Award or Steven Dean Gray Award. Details regarding these awards may be found at www.abea.net/awards.
3) All accepted podium AND poster presentations are required to submit a manuscript to The Laryngoscope by April 1, 2020. There will be no exception to this rule.
4) Authors submitting for podium presentations are required to submit one multiple choice question pertaining to their submission. These questions will be used to develop a self-assessment quiz for additional on-line CME. Please ensure you provide the multiple choice answers and specify which answer is correct. Failure to provide this required step may result in withdrawal of your abstract.

Notification of Acceptance: Late January 2020
Manuscript for Podium or Poster Awards: February 1, 2020
Notification of Awards: Mid-March 2020
Podium and Poster Manuscripts Due to ABEA and The Laryngoscope: April 1, 2020
E-Poster Submissions Due to Genigraphics: April 18, 2020 (tentative deadline)
Abstract Submission Instructions:
All abstracts must be submitted electronically through ABEA's Abstract Submission site
All users must create a profile and enter required contact information including cell phone and email address.
Abstract Submission Guidelines (Please read thoroughly):
Abstracts must be submitted in the structured format of The Laryngoscope (Please access The Laryngoscope submission site for up-to-date Instructions for Authors).
Abstracts should be 250 words or less.
Do not reference any hospital, institution, or other identifiers in the body of the abstract.
Authors submitting for podium presentations are required to submit one multiple choice question pertaining to their submission. Failure to to follow instructions and provide the multiple choice question may result in withdrawal of your abstract. Abstracts should not contain data presented or submitted elsewhere concurrently or published previously.
